Before Eureka, what other jobs did you have?

I started working at the age of 14 as a dishwasher at Joy & Ed’s in Utica. At 16, I was one of HyVee’s first employees and a part time server at Steak & Shake. I received my CNA degree at 18 and worked briefly at IVCH, until I attended IVCC for two years where I went back into the service industry and a few other odd jobs in between. I came to Eureka in 2014 as a drive-thru teller at our LaSalle office, and transferred to the Oglesby office in 2020.

What are your responsibilities at Eureka?

I am a Universal Banker at our Oglesby office. Daily tasks include deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, among many others for our customers. I open new accounts, create debit cards, and assist with online banking questions and other various tasks. I also handle all loan file maintenance for all of our offices.

Tell us a little about yourself outside of work?

I purchased my first home in January 2021 and I’m getting married in October of this year, which I’m very much looking forward to. I enjoy spending time with my family and my dogs, gardening in my new home, reading when I have some down time, and vacationing via cruise with my fiancé.

What kind of advice would you have for a soon to be college graduate?

Don’t settle for anything less than what you’re passionate about, even if it takes time to find your place.
