Get to know Jim Lobraco - Chief Financial Officer

As part of the executive management team, I am responsible for helping Eureka Savings Bank achieve its strategic and financial objectives.

Before Eureka, what other jobs did you have?

I’ve been in the financial services industry for almost 40 years. Just prior to Eureka I was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Hometown National Bank performing a similar role. Prior to that I was with JP Morgan Chase and it’s predecessor organizations for 25 years.

What are your responsibilities at Eureka?

As part of the executive management team, I am responsible for helping Eureka Savings Bank achieve its strategic and financial objectives. I directly manage the banks investment portfolio and oversee the following operational departments; Bookkeeping, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Information Technology.

Tell us a little about yourself outside of work

My wife and I met in the 80’s and while I was a hardcore classic rock guy at the time, she introduced me to disco and dance. To this day we enjoy going out dancing at various places. I am very much a family man and enjoy spending whatever free time and vacations with our adult kids. One of my hobbies includes making video presentations of our vacations and other special moments in our lives.

What kind of advice would you have for a soon to be college graduate?

With any job make sure to keep your skills current and find a way to add value to the organization. I started my banking career at a very small community bank and survived four acquisitions of our bank over a 25-year period by larger banks that culminated with the largest bank in the country JP Morgan Chase. While many employees were released with each acquisition, I managed to survive them all. I attribute my success to keeping my skills current and always providing value to the surviving organization.
