Get to know Katie Brandner, Loan Processor

Living in the moment is important, but don’t forget to look ahead! Think seriously about what you want to do in the future and take steps to make it happen.
Katie Brandner

Before Eureka, what other jobs did you have?

I started working at Subway when I was in high school and continued there through two years at IVCC. When I moved to Chicago to finish college, I came back home during summer breaks to work at R.R. Donnelly in Mendota. In 2010, I graduated and started working as a teller at Eureka until I transferred to the loan department as a loan processor in 2015.

What are your responsibilities at Eureka?

My daily duties involve preparing and reviewing documents for new mortgage transactions, processing payments & payoffs, reviewing and mailing loan notices & letters, and assisting customers and other bank staff with loan-related questions. I also prepare various monthly & annual reports, handle the bank’s annual escrow analysis, and assist with internal loan research and projects as the need arises.

Tell us a little about yourself outside of work?

I like spending time with my family and my dog, Stormy. I love music (especially showtunes), reading, being nerdy with my siblings, and occasionally getting in touch with my creative side with an art or craft project.

What kind of advice would you have for a soon to be college graduate?
